90 Points – $39

This Bordeaux styled wine is a blend of wines that have been aged 16 months in French and American oak. Complex in smell this dark red wine exudes the aromas of blackberries, plums and spice. A full mouthful of dark spices, pepper, plum and oak finish in a long smooth fashion. An ageable wine from the small lots program. Very good stuff here.

A fine nose of oak, tobacco and mocha greet you and lead to a mouthful of plum, dark fruit and cocoa flavours. A long dry finish. Very good.  A tribute to Luis Felipe Edwards’ wife from handpicked grapes blended from the outstanding grapes of each vintage then aged 18 months in French oak.

This wine is one of Jayson Woodbridge’s finest. Dark red with a pipe tobacco and mocha nose. Rich taste of chocolate, fruit and spice with a full long spicey finish. Excellent stuff, drinking very nicely now with potential for some aging.

Dark burgundy red in color with a full nose of black cherry, oak and dark chocolate. A full taste that cots your mouth with black cherry, fruit and cocoa. Smooth finish without any harshness that one expects from young cabs, probably due to the lower alcohol content. A good drinking wine for meat.

Mainly Negrette – a 12th century grape exclusive to the region north of Toulouse. Dark black in color with a nose of blackcurrant and leather. Flavors of blackcurrant, blueberries and licorice. The 2002 vintage is well aged with a smooth finish.

Dark Ruby color with a blackberry and leather nose. Tasting of fruit, cherry and blackberry with a long peppery finish. 90 point. A Bourdeau wine from the higher (haut) area of Medoc. Bourdeau wines are a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes with the occasional addition of malbec or other minor regional grapes.
