Medium in color and body, this wine has a tannic smell with notes of oak and currants. Acidic in taste with fruit and mocha overtones. Plush furry finish. Needs to mellow with decanting.
Dark red color with hints of cedar, blackberry and blueberry. Full plush mouth of fruit with a long soft finish. A very french style syrah unlike most peppery Australian.
Cornas is 100% syrah made from old vines on property in the northern Rhone Valley. It undergoes a long maceration and is fermented 18 months in oak. It is black in color with aromas of raspberries, fruit and oak. Smooth and well rounded mouth of fruit and cassis with a supple long peppery finish. Truely a good Cornas. Would be great with meat or stronger cheeses.
This wine is one of Jayson Woodbridge’s finest. Dark red with a pipe tobacco and mocha nose. Rich taste of chocolate, fruit and spice with a full long spicey finish. Excellent stuff, drinking very nicely now with potential for some aging.
Medium color and body with a fruity smell and juicy berry flavor with soft tannins and spice. A good light wine that puns on Chateau Neuf but missing the Mouvedre.
This wine is dark ruby red with a fine full nose of berries and spices. A full creamy mouthful of blueberries, fruit and spices with a well rounded full finish. A great wine for any steak.
Dark burgundy red in color with a full nose of black cherry, oak and dark chocolate. A full taste that cots your mouth with black cherry, fruit and cocoa. Smooth finish without any harshness that one expects from young cabs, probably due to the lower alcohol content. A good drinking wine for meat.
