This wine is made from 100% Tannat grape from the Las Brujas (the witches) region of southern Uruguay. This grape originates in the Basque regions of France. The nose is of raspberry and grape. It has a tannic taste that is reminiscent of port with fruit and blackberry notes.

Dark dusty red with a good nose of cherry, oak, mocha, tar and mincemeat. Full in flavour. Cherry, mincemeat and pepper with a furry long spicy finish. I wonder how this one will age. Very good stuff. One of the up and coming wineries from Argentina.

This vineyard has been active in making wine since the 1300’s. Dark red in color with a nose of licorice, tar, plums and dark cherry. A plump full mouth of licorice, spice, coffee and chocolate. Best to decant as this wine had lots of sediment. Good for aging. Very nice. 91 to 93 pts depending on the year.
